a little background.
when i turned 21, i was still living at my mom's house, and things were getting a bit tense.
she wanted an accounting of all of my activities - at one time taking my car keys away, and... well, it was a nightmare.
Only fun I had last Halloween was to go over to my daughter's and help the grandkids eat their spoils!
I have a sweet tooth!
The funny thing is, now that hubby is gone..I still turn the lights off on Halloween.
Can't be too careful when you live alone.
Might be a monster out there!

on christmas eve i got the chance to get together with an old friend, also an ex-witness, who was visiting from new york.
his life has been something of a hedonic treadmill and only recently has gotten off of it to find, as i like to call him, the sensitive new age jesus.
well, anyway, we got on the subject of sex and relationships.
That's called "LIKE" Dimwit!
I see no good things about "Casual Sex". It is temporary and sure doesn't last long..then you probably go looking for another fix right?

My hubby was my first..so anything I got was appreciated. Try too many and you will always be looking for better..right?
I think girls are different than guys..they aren't usually ruled by their "Organ"..
They generally want a relationship.
Anything less would be degrading to her.

For those that went through such pain..I am so sorry. Someday I hope those causing the pain will be held accountable..but then they have been so brainwashed..how can we blame them.
But the brainwashing has to come from somewhere..............
I can understand the "Waiting for the parents to go" thing. That takes a big heart.
And I found out..the Brothers usually protect the most prestigious in the congregation when they are called on the carpet for wrongdoing.
Especially child molestation!
And about the smoking..when hubby had his memorial..there was a brother outside on the porch smoking when I came out.Displaying my shock..my JW MIL informed me that " He is new"..and he is trying to quit!..
And I read someone here got disfellowshipped for it?

Well my JW MIL was worried about associating with me so she inquired! They told her I had just disassociated myself and it was OK!
Imagine that!
Well I had wrote a letter to dissassociate myself to the Society 20 years before that. I guess I was never disfellowshipped.
Funny..they knew I had wrote the letter but never called to find out why.I guess they were too busy..again..
I would have enjoyed telling them why.
I remember one time before that I had asked for them to come and talk to us as we were having problems..their answer.."We can't get involved with personal things!" Honest..that's what they said!

i was heaved out of the cinema on more than one occasion, generally by my mother who reckoned some things were just too much for my innocent young eyes and ears.

I Watched it with my father before he passed away. It was "Our time". Something I will always cherish.(Not a JW then).

I was with hubby and the kids..I just ran out and left them.It was too real for me!(I was still a devout JW.)
I haven't seen the remake..but the first was really scary.Being so nieve..I never thought people could do things like that.
When everyone came out I thought they had to be nuts to see a movie like that and kept my doors locked till hubby and the kids came out.
They were teens and loved it.Go figure..
And I too loved Dr Who!( Not a JW then) I watched it with my Dad before he passed away. It was our together time..

last year, a faithful sister passed away in a neighboring cong.
she did have some disfellowshipped relatives............i guess everyone assumed they wouldn't show up.
but they did (which they certainly have every right to do).........and it seemed it caused quite a stir.. one elder, who stayed to visit the family, ended up having to apologize to the entire congregation.
When my JW hubby was dying..His JW Mom and sister stayed with us for a few weeks. His Mom made sure to keep telling him that in the "New World" god would find him "another wife"!
Since death would disolve our marrige and I had dissasociated myself years ago!
At his memorial service some brothers wouldn't even look at me.(The ones that remembered me from the KH I used to attend years ago)Yet their wives came up and told me how sorry they were that he died.
The brothers told me they would call on me later....to give me comfort..they never did. Such a loving group.
They didn't even have time to come and see him when he was dying.They were too busy redoing the assembley hall for the CO coming to visit.
Such a loving group.
If hubby were still alive..I would gladly go to the KH with him.
Cause they are such a "Loving Group"!

since i burdened you all with my marriage problems earlier, i thought it'd be only fair that i should give you all an update of how things are going.
i feel that my husband and i love eachother very much, but he's so conflicted and divided because his loyalty towards the wtbts is so strong.. we reconciled, cried a lot and had a heart-to-heart talk, long and elaborate.
let all our thoughts and frustrations out in the open.
Well my hubby was a JW. I dropped out many years ago. I tried to talk and reason with him about how wrong they were. But I could not reach him because of his JW ties to his family. He didn't even have to believe what they taught. Just because his Mom and Dad and sister were one was enough for him.
Well I fought him tooth and nail. I wasn't going back. I made him miserable his last year.I didn't know he would get sick and die in 5 short months.
Well he died two years ago in Feb. To tell you the truth..I would go anywhere..including the KH just to be with him.Call it selling myself out..I don't see it that way.
The only thing is that I read your hubby can be violent. Well my hubby broke things many times when we were younger. He would get frustrated and didn't know how to deal with it. He NEVER hit me though.He could break what he wanted as long as he didn't hit me!
I am not that familiar with your situation but why would it be so wrong to go with him?
I just feel it wouldn't be any different than going to a sporting event with him just to be with him..
I don't think God would mind. But you have to do what you are comfortable with. I only know I would gladly go to any religious church or Hall with him just to be with him..And if I really believed in a "New World", I would go back to the KH just so I could see him again someday..but sadly I don't.

Art bell used to have a really good article on them but he no longer has a web site.What a pity.
Hubby and I both saw two shadow people in the house after my Mom and Dad passed away. They were holding hands and went through the hall to the room I am in now.
We didn't tell each other untill a conversation with someone else came up and I commented about it. He jumped in and said "I saw them too!."
Someone told me they were "Shadow People" so I looked it up. The description fit perfectly.
Now when two people see the same thing and don't talk about it untill later..you gotta believe something is out there.
Like the ghost hunters say..you can't see microwave beams..but the effects are there.
We don't know what it is but something is there.
Funny thing is ours only appeared a few times and after we talked about it we never saw them again. It was like they were reunited and just passing through.
